🇪🇺 EUR/USD Maintains Bearish Tone Amid France Political Crisis
The Euro is struggling near a two-month low around 1.1575, heading for its worst weekly performance this year as France faces political turmoil. Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu’s resignation has created uncertainty, with markets awaiting President Macron’s choice for a new PM. The incoming leader will face pressure to push a tight budget through a divided parliament.
At the same time, the US Dollar has strengthened, benefiting from global risk aversion and concerns about Japan’s new leadership. Despite dovish remarks from the Federal Reserve, investors continue to favor the USD as a safe haven.
The EUR/USD pair broke below 1.1600, confirming a bearish trend. Technical indicators point downward, with resistance near 1.1600–1.1650 and immediate support around 1.1540, followed by 1.1525. Unless the Euro climbs back above 1.1650, downside pressure is likely to persist.
