🇦🇺 AUD/USD Inches Higher as USD Weakens Amid Shutdown Worries

The AUD/USD pair edged up to around 0.6505–0.6510 on Thursday, supported by a softer US Dollar (USD) as economic concerns mount amid the ongoing US government shutdown.

The US Dollar Index (DXY) slipped 0.18% to trade near 100.00, retreating from a five-month high of 100.35 hit earlier this week. The USD’s correction reflects growing uncertainty over the prolonged shutdown, even as Federal Reserve rate-cut expectations fade following stronger US data.

Overall, the Aussie benefits slightly from the USD pullback, though gains remain capped as investors remain cautious ahead of further US economic updates.
